Electrical R&D Engineer

Job Responsibilities:

1. Responsible for finalizing the preliminary design of R&D equipment, conducting technical coordination with mechanical engineers, and making timely revisions to the design. Collaboratively develop the equipment’s R&D plan based on the specified requirements.
2. Responsible for the electrical design of non-standard equipment, including drafting electrical schematics, selecting electrical components, PLC programming, HMI programming, and commissioning. Also undertakes overall control system design and software development.
3. Responsible for preliminary project evaluation and design, as well as risk mitigation. During the mid‑project phase, responsible for selecting electrical components, preparing the bill of materials (BOM), drafting electrical schematics, and writing control programs, among other tasks.
4. Responsible for new product development, including electrical component selection, schematic design, software programming, and field testing. Also responsible for electrical schematic design, PCB layout, embedded software development (using ARM or DSP), and the maintenance of technical drawings and product documentation.
5. Responsible for tracking R&D equipment, adjusting on-site equipment parameters and providing feedback on issues as required, convening relevant personnel to discuss and resolve problems, and making timely adjustments. Also responsible for addressing unexpected equipment-related issues during the production rollout phase.
6. Responsible for establishing a standardized selection resource library for electrical equipment used in R&D.
7. Responsible for archiving documentation, including electrical schematics and standard procedures, for R&D equipment.
8. Safeguard the company’s core interests, submit work reports on time, and complete other tasks assigned by company leadership.

Qualifications:

1. Proficient in mainstream PLC programming software (such as Siemens S7‑300/400/1200/1500 series programming software and Mitsubishi FX series programming software), with strong PLC programming skills.
2. Familiar with the selection, installation, commissioning, and maintenance of various electrical equipment and components, and capable of developing sound manufacturing process plans.
3. Proficient in TIA Portal software; familiar with Siemens programming and electrical hardware selection. Also well-versed in HMI (human–machine interface) development, as well as servo drive and industrial Ethernet control technologies.
4. Possesses strong problem-solving skills and is capable of swiftly analyzing and resolving a wide range of electrical engineering issues.
5. Possess at least 3 years of relevant work experience in electrical design, manufacturing, or non-standard automation projects; prior experience in electrical design for non-standard automated production lines in the automotive industry is preferred.
6. Possesses strong stress tolerance, remains composed under project‑related pressure, and ensures the smooth execution of electrical tasks. Demonstrates a high sense of responsibility and dedication, taking full accountability for the quality of electrical work.
